Temple, Scripture Study, Patriarchal Blessings, Priesthood blessings

Well, I have the sacred opportunity to go through the temple later today. I am looking forward to having all of my brothers and sisters there and their spouses.
I don't know quite what to expect, but I do know that it will be a blessing to me as I make and keep new covenants with the Lord.
Shortly after I got my mission call, I went to the distribution center and got a Book of Mormon in Spanish, and then went and bought a Spanish dictionary and verb book. I have been reading through it and consulting the dictionary and verb book quite frequently, but I am learning more.
I just got done having lunch with Grandma Meservy. We were talking about patriarchal blessings, and she had me read hers. It was quite touching. I have a lot of love for both of my grandmas. After reading hers I read mine to her. It was a special experience, and one I treasure quite highly. It is definitely something that I will remember.
Well, I gave my first priesthood blessing this last week, and had the opportunity to give another one last night. What a remarkable experience. I know that the words which came from my mouth were not my own. I now have a better understanding of what Doctrine and Covenants 84:85 speaks of.
I am so very grateful for the opportunity that I have to hold the Melchizedek Priesthood, and I pray that I might honor that sacred privilege and responsibility, that I might be a blessing and a strength to those with whom I come in contact with. I say these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.
