Wow, another week here in Weslaco. How the weeks fly bye.
This week has really gone by fairly quick. It's crazy to think that
it's already almost April. I hear that the weather has been cold
and snowy in Utah. Weather down here topped 100 degrees on
Friday. So, needless to say, it's pretty much the opposite
down here.
This last week we had Zone Conference. It was a great
spiritual experience. I'm grateful for the opportunity that I
have to be here and to be receiving direction from the Lord's
appointed servants.
I am incredibly excited for General Conference! What could be
more exciting than to hear from the prophet of the Lord? I
think I'm even more excited for Conference than I was for
Christmas.
We've done a bit of finding this last week. We're trying to help
people to progress, but it's hard when they won't come to
church...Honestly, I don't understand how people can't believe
that there could be a prophet again on the earth. It's a
little bit frustrating.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to teach the third hour of
church. It was combined for the fifth Sunday. I taught about
fellowshipping. I feel that it went pretty well, and had several
people come up and thank me for the lesson. I also get to play
the organ every week for the English ward. It's definitely
been a nice skill to have.
Well, I love hearing from you, and look forward to another
week here in the Lord's vineyard.
I appreciate all the prayers in my behalf.
Love,
Elder Meservy
