Hello from Weslaco!

I'm starting my 4th transfer here. It's kind of crazy!

My new companion's name is Elder Andrews. He's from
American Fork. I'm definitely excited to work with him.

Well, the biggest news from this last week is that I've been sick.
Ugh. I have some form of tonsillitis or something similar, so I'm
on Amoxicillin. Also, I have developed another virus. I have some
red dots on my hand that the doctor says will just work it's way
through the system. So, on Saturday I stayed inside all day. I've
had a hard time swallowing any food due to my throat hurting
when I try. But, I think I'm finally on the mend.

I was supposed to give a talk in the Spanish ward, but due to not
being able to talk, my companion saved me and filled in for me.

I've really come to start to enjoy being out here on the mission.
I've definitely grown a lot.

The hardest thing for me still is waking up in the mornings. I
normally will half-wake up, go into the front room and "exercise"
(stretch) and wait for my companion to shower. However, I do
love this work, and I'm excited for the time that I still have to
be doing it.

It's been really cold down here the last few days. I've had to
wear a jacket, but today it's changed, and it's become a lot
warmer.

Well, I am grateful for all of the prayers, emails, and letters.
Keep 'em coming!

PS Happy wedding anniversary Grandma Moulton!

I love you all. Continue to stay true to the faith.

Con amor,
Elder Meservy
