Well, my first birthday on the mission has come and gone. Crazy.
It was really a great birthday. I'll go ahead and share some of
what happened.
Woke up, went to church. While waiting for church, I got a phone
call from Sister Miller (President Miller's wife) singing happy
birthday to me. Then, I sit down at the organ and start playing
prelude, and a family that doesn't even live in my area comes up
and gives me a happy birthday card, and told me they left the
cake for me in the refrigerator. A few minutes later, Sister
Weese comes up and gives me a happy birthday balloon...
(a small one...not distracting)
After church, we taught a couple lessons, and then went to my
recent converts house, and they fed us dinner and cake. After
which, we went to Martha's house, where they were having a
birthday party for her grandson, and we jumped in a moon
jump for a while.
Anyway, I put way too much soda and junk into my body
yesterday, and today I'm paying for it.
Anyway, all in all it was a good birthday. Thank you all for your
birthday wishes and gifts.
The weather has definitely been very hot here. I'm starting to
understand the South Texas heat a little bit more.
Well, I've felt a little bit sick for a while now...hopefully I'll be able
to get over that soon. It's been slowing me down a bit.
We had interviews with President Miller this last week, and that
was excellent. It's always good to talk with him one on one.
I am learning a ton, and continue to stretch and grow.
I love you all.
Love,
Elder Meservy
