Well, first things first. Congratulations to Dan and Laurie. I'm
sorry that there have been some complications, but I will
definitely keep Hyrum in my prayers. How wonderful it is that
we have the technology now to be able to keep these precious
souls alive.
Things have been pretty good here in Harlingen. I'm really
enjoying the time that I have here. I have continually been
growing and learning. Not perfect...yet. I know that many of
you probably think I am. :)
We had a really good week. Not too much progress from our
investigators. (Several have been sick)
I'm going to tell a story from yesterday. We were out
contacting people, and we contacted this man named Ruben.
Well, he let us come in and we had a really good first lesson.
He told us that he wouldn't be interested in reading the Book
of Mormon; that he will only believe in one book...the Bible.
Well, we taught a little more, and testified of it's truthfulness.
We read part of the last chapter of 2nd Nephi. I don't know if
I've ever felt the Spirit testify so strongly to me of the
truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Well, he still rejected it,
but I came out of that lesson with an even stronger testimony
of the Book of Mormon. Those are the moments I love as a
missionary. It's great to have these experiences.
Well, I love you all!
