First off, conference was amazing! As always. I can't keep my
excitement in. Only one left as a missionary. How the time
goes!
We had a pretty good week this week, except for a couple
days near the beginning of the week. We both weren't feeling
well, and had to stay near the restroom...other than that, it
was a pretty good week.
Elder Nielson, the one that came to our zone conference that
I talked about last week, is the same one that talked after Elder
Cook in the Sunday Afternoon Session of General Conference.
He's the one that talked about his mission to Finland if that
sparks anyone's memories.
Things are going well. Transfers are this week, and I'm almost
positive I'll be staying in this area, but I guess we'll see. I
really can't imagine leaving yet.
We're working with some really great people. One of our
investigators should finish up reading the Book of Mormon
today. (He agreed to a challenge to read it in a week.) He's a
great man, and I think he's finally catching the vision a little
bit more. He also came to all five sessions of General
Conference this weekend.
It sounds like things are cold in a lot of places besides down
here in South Texas. I'm actually kind of excited for this
winter. It's cooling down a bit here, but there still are days
where it surprises us and is in the high 90's instead of the
high 80's or low 90's.
What a wonderful opportunity that we have to have a
knowledge of the gospel in our lives. There really is nothing
that can compare with the power of this message.
Sigue adelante.
