Monday, July 27th

Well. It's another week here from Weslaco.

Things are still going well here for me..

This week we went looking for a less-active member, and he let
us in. Apparently he was in the Bishopric some 10-12 years ago,
but got offended by something someone said. Well, we sang
hymns for both him and his wife. (They had a hymnbook out on
their bookshelf.) It was amazing to feel the spirit as we sang. You
could feel a difference in their attitude, and also in the spirit from
the time that we entered the house, to the time we left.

This week they're doing a thing called "mini-missions" for the
youth in South Texas. Starting today, I'll have a kid with me, and
he'll be living mission rules and everything. Elder Clarke and I
will be on exchanges with the kids all week. It should be a great
experience for them.

Things continue to roll forward here. I can't believe July's almost
over! Time flies, yet goes so slow... crazy!

Well, I love you all, and appreciate all the prayers!

-Elder John H. Meservy
